Tech Entrepreneurship, Minor (CMU-Q)
Minor in Tech Entrepreneurship
available to CMU Qatar students only
Overview
Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar students may pursue a Minor in Tech Entrepreneurship (advisor: Nui Vatanasakdakul), an interdisciplinary program focused on building technology ventures powered by AI, robotics, and emerging technologies. Students develop entrepreneurial skills in opportunity identification, human-centered innovation, technology product development, business modeling, venture funding, and investor pitching while exploring how digital technologies are transforming industries. The minor culminates in a capstone startup project, where multidisciplinary teams launch and pitch their technology ventures to Qatar's startup ecosystem, including entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders.
Prerequisite Course
The prerequisite to declaring this minor is successful completion of 15-110 with a B grade or higher, or successful completion of 15-112. Business Administration majors pursuing an entrepreneurship concentration are precluded from declaring this minor.
