Military veterans are a vital part of the Carnegie Mellon University community, playing an integral role in student life, academic endeavors, and intellectual achievements. This Veterans & Military Community website provides a central source of information on veterans education benefits, campus services, and the military and veterans community at Carnegie Mellon University and in the Pittsburgh community.
Veterans Education Benefits
Since 2010, Carnegie Mellon University has been named a Military Friendly School by GIJobs.com. Our goal is to provide the best possible services to students eligible for Veterans Education Benefits.
The University Registrar's Office provides services to veterans and their dependents who are eligible for Veterans Education Benefits under the Montgomery G.I. Bill®, Post-9/11 G.I. Bill, and Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Program. In addition, Carnegie Mellon participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program for those who are 100% eligible for benefits under the Post-9/11 G.I. Bill. We serve as a liaison between the veteran and the VA Regional Processing Office.
Application instructions for current students, important information, compliance and additional resources can be found on the Veterans Education Benefits website.
G.I. Bill® is a registered trademark of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). More information about education benefits offered by the VA is available at the official U.S. government website.
