The Undergraduate Catalog details Carnegie Mellon University’s academic programs, policies and services. While it is intended for use by current undergraduate students, faculty, and administrators, we also appreciate that prospective students and others may read this catalog to gain understanding of the university's programs and culture.

Information in this catalog is current as of August 2018. Students who entered in prior years should refer to the catalog of their entry year for degree requirements. The program requirements and academic policies set forth in this catalog are subject to change. Students should consult with their individual college or department for the most up-to-date information about program requirements. Official University Policies may be found at www.cmu.edu/policies.

Members of the campus community may direct any changes or updated information to University Registrar John Papinchak (university-registrars-office@andrew.cmu.edu). The next catalog will be published in August 2019; in the interim, new courses will be announced in the Schedule of Classes (www.cmu.edu/hub), which is published in November and April.
